Gadhafi is killed

Unread postby Junior » 20 Oct 2011 20:53

Reports are now saying that Gadhafi was alive when rebel soldiers captured him and the Libyan people against Gadhafi beat him to a pulp. Gadhafi died from his wounds. What does this mean now for Libya? What does it mean to the rest of the world?

I still do not believe that Saddam was killed. I believe it was one of his doubles. I just love conspiration theories :)
Not sure what would be worse for people Libyan people, Gadhafi or the new "democracy". Are they ready for democracy? Was the revolution their idea or it was controlled by countries that have interest in the oil. I guess sooner or later we will find it out.

I seen some of the pictures today. Many see it as justice for everything the man done in his life. He did look terrified to say the least. It will be interesting to see what happens in the country now. Will the countries who aided the rebels hang around to help set up some form of democracy? Or hang around to claim some expenses back, (in the form of oil) for helping to remove Gadhafi from power?
War. War never changes.

Looks like the U.S. is considering stepping in again to make a "democracy". For goodness sake. Another Iraq? I couldn't bear the first one.

The biggest question for me is "Are the Libyan people ready for democracy?". There is usually a reason for dictatorship, it's important step in evolution of some countries and it is not that easy to switch to Democracy just like in Sid Mayer's Civilization. But I do not think U.S. and other countries involved care about anything else but oil.
