If someone loses access to any feature to a rule break they automatically get a warning as well.
Rule 17: Three Strikes your out Red Devils forum operates a three strike policy.User wll first recieve a polite pm then, users will be warned a maximum of three times for any and all offences in a three month period. If the need arises for a fourth warning a temporary ban will be put in place. In extreme circumstances the three strike policy will be bypassed.
Rule 18: Arguing With Staff
Arguing with staff members after having received a warning will lead to an immediate additional warning. Should this exceed three strikes a temporary ban will be put in place as above.
Rule 19: Right To Appeal
Users who feel they have been unfairly warned are welcome to contact the relevant group leader, e.g. if warned by a moderator you should contact the Moderator group leader. If they feel you were treated badly they remove a warning.
Rule 20: Circumventing A Ban
Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban or other moderator action will lead to a permanent ban of your account(s). Circumvention includes re-registering or using an already registered account under a non-banned username. Other examples include changing IP addresses, using a new email account or other action that can be taken to evade moderator action to hide your identity as the owner of the sanctioned account.
Rule 21: Exception To The 3 Strike Rule
An exception to the three strike rule applies when users contact staff members personally (via any method) and post insulting, indecent or vulgar material. Such users may be subject to an immediate permanent ban.
Rule 22: Permanent Bans
Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them. While we may consider lifting permanent bans from time to time this is a rare occurrence.
Rule 23: Back Seat Moderating
Backseat Moderation is not appreciated. Use the "Report" button to let us know about rule breakers and let the staff deal with the situation. While we appreciate you are trying to help, we prefer to deal with situations ourselves and the staff are here to deal with situations like this.
Rule 24: Account Restriction
The staff reserve the right to restrict a users forum access should they feel a users action warrants it, this is in place of a ban and is designed to give a user a cooling off period without the need to ban a person, when a user is placed in the restricted group you will be notified via pm of why and how long for.
