Banned Users

What do you do with your banned users? I'm talking about users that joined your forum to spam. Do you only ban them or do you ban their email address and user nickname? Do you only ban part of their email address @SOMEADDRESSHERETHATISFORSPAM.com? Or do you ban their IP address?

It depends on the reason for the banned as no two cases are the same.

As Rich says no two cases are the same but I would prefer to ban the lot and then delete them as they are fake users.

yea, but hidden to normal members. only staff and the banned users can see it. maybe long time good behaviour warrents a return etc...

gives chance for conversing too which always helps. worst thing is being banned and not being able to give your point of view or plead your innocence :p
